Not knowing what to write is something we call "writer's block". The story goes that a writer sits down to write and it is like his mind goes blank. So here's some ideas:
- What is it like where you live?
- What do you enjoy doing? Write about your hobbies.
- Write a paragraph about what you did today. Who did you spend time with? Where did you go? What is life like in China? Or in your area?
- What are you involved in? Family? Friends? Work?
It is easiest to write about yourself and your activities, because that is what you know best. Unusual stories about your experiences are harder to come by, but as you begin to write you get ideas. For example, before I was 18 years old, I can remember things like:
- traveling with my family
- how my older brothers used to tease me and how I tried to "get even"
- spending time with my cousins and bicycling 15 miles to the beach with them
- hiking alone in the mountains or with my family in a national park
- a cute girl in third grade who wanted me to kiss her. I was too shy.

Beyond that, there's the rest of the world.
