A real friend (blog from anne)

Friend is to people what water is to fish. Nobody can exist without friend. Different people would choose friend with different characters. Which one is essential? Different people won't list the same answer. As far as I am concerned, reliable friend is the primary one. I have a friend named Xinxin, she is my reliable friend. I get lots of cares from her.

First, a reliable friend can always support me. No matter what situation I face to, my friend is always besides me. She can fills in my minds with delights when I am depressed. She encourages me when I fail. She always helps me when I come across problems. I remember clearly that once I failed in an important test, I closed myself in the room, eating nothing. One day past, I still didn't go out. She broke in to my house through the window at last. She broke in because she was afraid that I would fell hungry or do other terrible things. I will never forget when I saw her standing there facing to me with blood bleeding. Now we always talk about the event. She is really a good friend.

Also, a reliable friend can keep secret for you. I always tell her my secrets, but she never says one word to anyone else. I was naughty, when I was a child. I always did bad things with boys such as dirty neighbors’ clothes which were dried in the sun. In fact, she knew every thing I did, but she never told my parents, even at the time we quarreled with each other. She knew that they might beat me. She just talks with me. Let me know which is right and which is wrong.

Of course, friends can have many other qualities such as intelligence, humor. Intelligent friend can always think out good methods to solve various problems. This really makes sense. And humorous friend can often brings happy to us.

I agreeable that there are a lot of advantages of having a friend with other qualities, but compared to the advantages of reliable friend, I would rather choose the latter one. It is said that a friend in need is a friend indeed. A reliable fried is just this one.

Either "a friend" or "friends".

Several better option to say this:
"She is concerned about my welfare."
"I get a lot of [something] from her." (the word "cares" does not work)
"She shows a lot of concern for me."
"I can feel her concern for me."
"I can tell she cares for me."
etc.

Eliminate the word "to."

You have more than one brain? Most people only have one mind!

A good friend indeed. Better English? Eliminate "with blood" because it is redundant. You can't stand there bleeding without blood. Or word it differently, such as "bleeding, with blood on the cuts of her hands."

AH ha! I guess you meant "secrets" above!

Um! I'm gonna tell! :) "neighbor's" and "were drying" (ongoing process!).

Add either "and" or "or" or even "and/or."

Either: "an intelligent friend" or "intelligent friends."
Not "think out" but one of these:
"think through"
"discover"
"help you find"
etc.

"brings happiness" or "can make us happy", etc
