One Afternoon

The weather in Changsha is not so hot these days. I decided to come to the Martyr Memorial Park for good health yesterday. It is the largest park in Changsha. Not only is it a place for memorial, tribute-paying and educational activities, but it also is a composite part of a landscape architecture with its uniqe spots.

I walked to the park with my husband after lunch. Entering from the West Gate, we could see the Martyr Monument which displayed the photographs and biographies of the famous martyrs in Hunan.  Walking along the path which is shadowed by various trees around the Martyr Monument, we came to a small forest.  With the smell of flowers and the twittering of birds, it is a good place to relax which attracted so many people. We sat on a bench and played cards.
